JAKARTA — After the parody song “Indonesia Raya”, a photo upload appears on Instagram insulting the King of Malaysia, Yang in Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. Some of the photos that insulted the King of Malaysia were uploaded on the Instagram account @bukan_bangjago.

The upload immediately sparked anger from Empress Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah. As reported by Malaysian media, Sinarharian and mstar, Tunku Azizah Aminah asked PDRM to arrest the owner of the account. “Because people do not work, just look for sin, to Allah surrender. Please take action,” wrote Tunku Azizah on his Instagram account on Thursday (31/12/2020).

The Indonesian Malaysian-Indonesian Journalists’ Setiakawan Association (ISWAMI) also asked the Malaysian Police and Malaysian Police (PDRM) to investigate and arrest the @bukan_bangjago account owner.

We strongly condemn the respect for Yang di-Pertuan Agung Malaysia, a highly respected leader in Malaysia and Indonesia, “wrote the ISWAMI press statement signed by the President of ISWAMI Indonesia, Asro Kamal Rokan and ISWAMI’s Advisor, Ilham Bintang, on Friday (1/1/2021).

ISWAMI Indonesia asked the Police and PDRM to immediately investigate and take action against the owner of the account. Because ISWAMI considered that the account was suspected of deliberately trying to damage the good relations between Indonesia and Malaysia.

We don’t want this good relationship to be damaged by irresponsible people. Therefore, this case of humiliation must be resolved immediately so as not to cause negative consequences, “said ISWAMI.

Previously, netizens were shocked by the parody song of Indonesia Raya uploaded by a YouTube account, MY Asean. In the 1 minute 30 second video, the lyrics of the song Indonesia Raya are replaced by inappropriate and harsh words. In addition, the Garuda bird symbol was also replaced by a chicken with a Pancasila collar.

In fact, the uploaders of the parody song were 2 Indonesian citizens with the initials MDF and NJ. The 16-year-old MDF was arrested by the National Police in Cianjur, West Java. Meanwhile, NJ, who was only 11 years old, was arrested by PDRM in Sabah, Malaysia.
