Exotic and Challenging.

This Keramikan Suoh Tour was opened around 2004 and became known in 2006, it is located at the foot of Mount Ratu Hill, to be precise adjacent to the Oil Lake and the Acid Lake.

This tourist attraction in the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (TNBBS) forest area is also very crowded because of its beautiful scenery and is also unique and different from other tourist objects so that it has an attraction to visit.

This Keramikan Suoh tourist attraction is in the form of hardened lava, so that it forms like cement adjacent to a hot spring from the earth. Keramikan Suoh is a plain where liquid and sulfurous sand originate from the hot spring of Suoh, which has been deposited for years. Its yellowish white color and slightly transparent make it nicknamed Keramikan (ceramic).

The thickness varies, some are tens of meters, but some are just a few centimeters. Therefore, to get through this, a local guide who has memorized the route is required to avoid falling into a very dangerous hot water flow.

It is located not so far from the Wide Lake by walking along the savanna that the visitors call “Telletubies Hill”. The expanse of stone slabs, like the crust of a hot steam boiler, begins to appear before the eyes. Every now and then in the center and at the foot of the hill, hot steam rose up.

The hot water continues to gush at several corners around the crater. The layer of the crust is called Keramikan, which is a stretch of hardened rock like ceramic. According to the local community, these rocks are layered and expanded.

Under the hardened expanse like storing a hot spring that never runs out and continues to explode, in some parts there are large ones that form puddles or ponds, and small ones and drain warm water.(Ibn)
